I am currently in college to be an elementary teacher. These are some books that I read as a child that I really enjoyed and ones I plan to use in my future classroom.
Bridge to Terabithia
Grade Level: 3-5, 6-8
Lexile Level: 810L
This exciting thriller is about a young boy named Jess who meets the best friend of his life, Leslie. They create their own world together and they are the rulers of their kingdom. But one day when Leslie tries to go to their world alone, there is a devastating tragedy and Jess is left heartbroken. I would read this to my class as a read-aloud during free time.
