Children's Literature
I am currently in college to be an elementary teacher. These are some books that I read as a child that I really enjoyed and ones I plan to use in my future classroom.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
Grade Level: Pre-K-K
Lexile Level: AD530L
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is an adorable book about the lowercase letters of the alphabet, one by one, climbing up a coconut tree together. Once they all get to the top, they all fall down and get boo-boo's! Then the uppercase letters come and help all the lowercase letters. I would use this book for teaching the alphabet and identifying uppercase and lowercase letters.
